Offbeat by Design began mid-2025 with nothing but a shared dream, a lot of curiosity, and the belief that being different isn’t something to hide — it’s something to wear proudly.
We’re Phillip and Amanda, the humans behind Offbeat by Design.
Phillip handles the numbers, the strategy, and the videos — the behind-the-scenes structure that keeps the vision moving forward. Amanda is the heart and hands of the brand: designing, printing, packing, woodworking, and obsessing over every intricate detail that goes into each piece. Together, we balance creativity and logistics, intuition and execution.
The idea for an eccentric t-shirt shop lived quietly in both of us long before we met. When our paths crossed, those dreams aligned — and even though we knew nothing about entrepreneurship or running a business, we decided to learn by doing. That leap became Offbeat by Design.
We originally launched on Etsy using a drop-shipping model, but it quickly became clear that it didn’t align with our values. Long fulfillment times, slow shipping, and lack of control over the final product didn’t sit right with us. That’s when intuition stepped in. One day, Amanda followed her intuition to throw some tarot carts, and that day (as every day), the cards were clear: study the next opportunity and do something new.
So together, we did.
Offbeat by Design is our baby — but more importantly, it’s a home for misfits.
Our mission is to bring the outcasts, the social rejects, the weird, the misunderstood, and the written-off out of the shadows — so we can find each other. So we can be seen. So we can belong.
We are deeply immersed in the paranormal world. With every spare moment, we investigate with teams across the country as Offbeat Paranormal. Our social circles are filled with weirdos who thrive on the unexplained, the eerie, the mystical, and the unknown — and that energy flows directly into everything we create.
Offbeat by Design isn’t limited to apparel. In addition to t-shirts and hoodies, we create handcrafted spirit boards, planchettes, pendulum boards, pendulums, and other one-of-a-kind pieces — with many more creations on the way.
Every product is made to order with intentional care. We are meticulous, particular, and unapologetically picky — because perfection matters when you’re creating for people who finally feel seen.
The people — the misfits — are the reason this exists.
We believe in the paranormal. Fully. Even when we haven’t personally seen or heard something ourselves, we believe in unlimited possibilities — in realms that overlap with ours, in energies we don’t yet understand, and in truths still waiting to be discovered.
This brand was never about money. It was never about the spotlight.
It’s about reaching the people who thought they were unreachable.
It’s about making the lost and lonely feel recognized.
It’s about creating moments where someone spots a t-shirt in the wild and thinks, “That’s my kind of person.”
Our goal is to unite the weird, the paranormal lovers, the outsiders, and the misfits — so no one EVER has to feel wrong, broken, or alone for being exactly who they are. Unapologetically Offbeat.
